Hi, I’m
Eswar

I design and tune CPUs for a living, and break down complex systems for fun.

I’m a CPU performance engineer at Qualcomm in San Diego, working on microarchitecture, performance analysis, and low-level system behavior. When I’m not deep in hardware counters and traces, you’ll probably find me in the pool training, hiking, exploring new dive sites, 3d printing or tinkering.

About Me

I’m a computer architecture enthusiast with a focus on CPU design, microarchitecture, and performance analysis. I work at Qualcomm in San Diego as a CPU architect and performance engineer, where I analyze bottlenecks, tune performance, and think about how hardware and software interact at a low level.

I enjoy methodical, engineering-oriented problem solving: building mental models, validating them with data, and iterating. That same mindset extends into my hobbies — from running a Proxmox-based homelab and self‑hosting services, to experimenting with networking, firewalls (OPNsense), and secure personal infrastructure.

Outside of tech, I love scuba diving, swimming, and exploring new places. I’m also drawn to philosophy and longer-term learning — I’d rather understand systems deeply than chase quick wins.
